I have thick, curly hair. That’s easy to see, but unforunately for me, it’s not always easy to manage. Beacuse I live in the great state of Louisiana I battle humidity for a good portion of the year. That humidity not only can make my makeup melt right off my face, it can also frizz up a perfectly, good hairstyle.
So you can imagine my excitement when I received 3 products from the Maui Moisture Nourish & Moisture Coconut Milk Collection in an Influenster Aloe for Curls VoxBox this week. For those of you who might not know, Influenster is a product discover platform that allows its users to post and search products reviews. Maui Moisture is a vegan haircare company that offers products made with 100% aloe vera and pure coconut oil. Their products are free of silicones, mineral oils, parabens, and sythentic dyes.

This hair mist does exactly what its name states – it gives your curls a weightless dose of shine and hydration. It also controls frizz and helps to keep your flyaways at bay. But the best part is that it makes your hair smell like fresh coconuts.
Maui Moisture Flexible Hold + Coconut Milk Curl Foam Mousse – $6.97
For a curly girl like myself the right mousse can be your best friend and this one has quickly become my new BFF. It’ll leave your curls shiny and defined and has the amazing ability to hold your curls without drying them out or making them feel crunchy. Now that’s a mousse worth trying.
Maui Moisture Curl Quench + Coconut Oil Ultra-Hold Gel – $10.78
Every curly girl needs a good hair gel. The Curl Quench + Ultra-Hold Gel enhances your curls by adding softness and volume to your hair without weighing it down. I fell in love with it because it’s so lightweight and didn’t leave my hair feeling stiff. At the end of the day, that’s a win in my opinion. Plus it’s packed with really good ingredients like papaya extract, plumeria extract, aloe vera, and (of course) coconut oil.
I found each of these products to do exactly what Maui Moisture stated they would do and my curls responded well to each of them. I really like that they’re a very affordable brand that you can find at most retailers like Walmart, Walgreens, and even Amazon.
