Do you love summer? Do you love Halloween? If you answered yes to both questions then this is the post for you. Summerween is a fictional holiday that was originally celebrated on a Disney Channel cartoon called Gravity Falls but has now become a way for fall lovers to infuse a little bit of the Halloween fun into their summer. You can see many influencers post pictures and videos of how they celebrate Summerween on Instagram and YouTube, because it’s the perfect way to transition from summer to fall because it allows you to get a taste of what the fall season will bring.

Carve a Watermelon or Pineapple
The first thing you can do to celebrate Summerween is carve a summer fruit such as a watermelon or a pineapple. Personally, I recommend choosing a watermelon because not only is it easier to carve than a pumpkin, it also looks really cool when you put your lit candle or light inside it.
Make a Homemade Ghost Pizza
You can never go wrong with homemade pizza, but to give it some Summerween flair, try shaping your pizza dough into a ghost. I attempted this and my ghost turned out a little more . . . full-figured … than I hoped. Honestly, my ghost pizza reminded me more of Casper the Friendly Ghost’s Uncle Fatso than Casper, but it was still delicious.
Draw Pumpkin Faces on Plastic Cups & Drink Something Orange Out of It
Another easy way to celebrate Summerween is by drawing pumpkin faces on clear or orange Solo cups and drinking orange soda out of them. This is a really quick and easy DIY that you can do with kids or just by yourself.
You Gotta Make S’mores
It wouldn’t be summer without s’mores and I highly recommend picking up some marshmallows to roast, some graham crackers, and some Hershey chocolate bars, building a little fire, and making some delicious s’mores. Not only are they a sweet treat, they’re the perfect dessert that can remind you of both summer and fall.
Watch a Horror Movie set in the Summer
The last and best way to celebrate Summerween is by having a cozy night in and watching a horror movie set in the summertime. You could even have a Summerween horror movie marathon. Here’s just a few films you can choose from:
