One of my absolute favorite holidays is the 4th of July. Not only does it mean summer is in full swing, it also tends to mean BBQ and all things red, white, and blue. Because there’s nothing better than just throwing on a cute and comfortable dress and getting right to the festivities. And what’s even better, all of these dresses are plus-size and midsize friendly.

You can never go wrong with a wrap dress in the summer, especially if it’s covered in a cute pattern. The Lucy Dress in Strawberry Fields is made of 97% polyester and 3% Spandex on the inside and 100% polyester on the outside, meaning it’s lightweight and breezy. It has a removable waist tie and pockets as well as a hidden zipper in the back. But what really makes this dress amazing is that it comes in a variety of sizes, ranging from XX Small to 5X.
I recently wore this dress to go blueberry picking and I can honestly say that it kept me cool the whole time. And I mean, we were in upper 90 temps for a little over an hour, so you can depend on this dress even in the hottest part of the day.
Summer Meadow Dress

This next dress is perfect for fans of a whimsical, soft-girl, cottagecore summer. The Summer Meadow Dress is a sleeveless white cotton dress that runs true-to-size and is embroidered with delicate blue flowers. Its fitted bodice helps to define your waist and its tiered skirt flows gracefully every time you move. It comes in sizes XX Small to 6X.
When I first saw this dress all I could think about was styling it with a straw hat and a picnic basket. This dress was giving me all the “Anne of Green Gables” vibes.
Linen-Blend Shirt Dress

There’s nothing more comfortable than wearing a linen (or in this case, a linen-blend) dress on a really hot day. Old Navy has some of the best and most affordable linen-blend clothing pieces out there, especially their dresses. A shirt dress is a great option for the 4th because it can make you look put together without trying hard. This dress comes in sizes ranging from X Small to 4X, but you can get it in different lengths. If you’re on the taller side like me I highly recommend purchasing your size in the tall option because the skirt can be a little too short in the straight options.
Fit & Flare Midi Eyelet Dress

The last dress I want to share with you is this white midi eyelet dress from Old Navy. This is seriously one of the most comfortable dresses I have in my closet and I think it would be perfect to wear on the 4th. Made of 100% lawn cotton, this dress has a fitted top with a full skirt that hits just below the knee. It fits true-to-size and comes in sizes X Small to 4X.
