Colourpop Boudoir Noir Palette Review: One of the Most Underrated Colourpop Palettes

Eyeshadow is one of my favorite parts of doing makeup. I love how a little bit of shadow and blending can take your eyes from “I’m awake” to “I’m fabulous!” One of my favorite makeup brands that offers excellent quality eyeshadows at shockingly affordable prices is Colourpop.

Colourpop is a Los Angeles-based cosmetic company that’s known for releasing makeup palettes and collections at lightning speed. The palette I want to shine a light on today is one from one of their collections that was released last year: the Boudoir Noir Palette.

The Boudoir Noir Palette is a delectable, 12-pan eyeshadow palette made up of gold and olive warm tones that help you achieve easy, everyday looks to sultry, smoky looks and everything in between. It comes with 7 matte shades, 4 metallic shades, and 1 pressed glitter. And the best part is – it’s only $18.

The mattes blend very smoothly and the metallics add just the right amount of shimmer to any look. Honestly, I don’t use the pressed glitter very often but when I do I use my ring finger and gently tap it onto my lid to add a hint of sparkle. The shadows are super pigmented, so a little goes a long way, but I gotta warn you – there is some kick-back with the mattes. I don’t mind it but it’s good to know in case you do.

All in all, I feel that the Boudoir Noir palette is a palette with a unique color story and high quality formulas, but it doesn’t always get as much love as it deserves because Colourpop has launched the next collection. Sometimes, it’s good to stop and appreciate what’s right in front of you and this is definitely a palette worth diving into.

Scroll down to see 2 looks I created with this palette this past week.
