The Christmas Tree Farm by Laurie Gilmore
The first book on the list is set in the idyllic small town of Dream Harbor and it follows Kira North, a woman who hates all things Christmas . . . and just bought a Christmas tree farm. With the holidays coming up, Kira has to figure out how to get the farm up and ready for customers without breaking the bank. Enter Bennett Ellis – a happy-go-lucky man on vacation who’s good at fixing things. But can he help Kira fix up the tree farm? And more importantly, can he fix Kira’s heart and get a second chance at love?
The Holiday Cottage by Sarah Morgan
This next book is for all the fans of The Holiday – it follows Imogen, a marketing superstar, who’s on the point of career burnout. When Imogen’s forced to take time off and unexpectedly receives an invitation from her favorite client, Dorothy, to spend the holidays at her guest cottage in the Cotswold in England, she packs her bags and heads for Holly Cottage. From the thatched roof to the cozy fireplace, Holly Cottage turns out to be a dream come true. As Imogen spends time with Dorothy, she begins to piece together a life that’s better than she could ever have imagined.
The Matzah Ball by Jean Meltzer
The next book is about a Jewish woman named Rachel Rubenstein-Goldblatt who secretly loves Christmas. She loves it so much that she even hides her decade-long career as a Christmas romance novelist from her family. But when her publisher insists she writes a Hanukkah romance, her inspiration well runs dry. Desperate not to lose her contract, Rachel hopes to find some writing inspiration at the Matzah Ball, a Jewish music celebration held on the last night of Hanukkah. Everything’s going good until she runs into Jacob Greenberg, her childhood archenemy from summer camp. But the more they spend time together, the more Rachel begins to see the beauty of Hanukkah and the chance at love. This is a feel good book with a lot of heart.
Nick & Noel’s Christmas Playlist by Codi Hall
This next book is for anyone who’s a fan of the friends-to-lovers trope. It follows Nick Winter, who’s just out of the military and not having a very good Christmas. When he finds out his girlfriend cheated on him while he was stationed overseas, he counts on his best friend, Noel Carter, to lift his spirits. But his world is turned upside down when he and Noel share a kiss. Can Nick and Noel make things work or will his ex-girlfriend ruin things for them before they can even get it started? You’ll just have to read and find out. I really enjoyed this story, especially the friendship between Nick and Noel.
How My Neighbor Stole Christmas by Meghan Quinn
My next recommendation is for fans of the enemies-to-lovers trope and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The story follows Cole Black, a cranky guy who’s completely over Christmas, but the quaint town he lives in is obsessed with Christmas, especially his new neighbor, Storee Taylor. When Storee enters the town Christmas Kringle contest in honor of her aunt, Cole enters it just to beat Storee at her own game. The two of them pretend to date in order to win the contest, but as the two of them grow closer, Cole’s heart begins to grow three sizes and suddenly his feelings for Storee don’t feel so fake. Will their pretending lead them to something more?
Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison
The last book on this list was a favorite of mine from last year so I knew I had to include it on this year’s list too. It follows Stella Bloom as she tries to save the Christmas tree farm she visited as a kid. In an effort to bring Lovelight Farms back to its former glory, Stella enters a contest with an Instagram-famous influencer named Evelyn St. James. There’s just one little problem – Stella lied on her application and stated that she owns the farm with her boyfriend – which she doesn’t have. With the help of her best friend, Luke, Stella tries to convince Evelyn and the public that Lovelight Farms is a romantic destination for the holidays. But maybe – with the smell of fresh pine in the air and the twinkling lights, Luke can make Stella his girlfriend for real.
