The cool, crisp air can totally dry out your lips and face but in today’s post I’m hoping to help you bring an end to dry winter skin. Because who wants dry, itchy skin on their face? In today’s post I’m sharing my dry winter skincare routine for oily/combination skin with you. What makes this routine full-proof is that it includes products that are gentle and nourishing yet strong enough to target dryness. Now I know what you may be thinking: can oily skin really get dry? The answer is yes. All skin types can experience dryness, especially in different environmental conditions, but there are practical steps you can take to combat dryness and protect your skin. You don’t need a lot of products to have a skincare routine that really works – you just need a few that target your concerns. So let’s jump into this skincare routine, shall we?

Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture 5.5 Soft Cleansing Gel

Ok, so the first product I want to mention is usually the first product I use in my routine: the Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Gel Cleanser. This lightweight gel cleanser is unscented and mild but full of natural ingredients that provide maximum moisture such as fermented black rice and bamboo extract. It’s also formulated with natural surfactants from coconut that helps to reduce irritation. I enjoy using this cleanser because it’s one of the most gentle cleansers on the market. But my favorite part about it is that it leaves my skin feeling clean and hydrated after every use.

Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner

After your skin has been cleansed the best thing you can do to add moisture is to use a toner. The Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner is a refreshing essence-like toner that softens your skin, leaving its texture flexible and nourished. The 100% Korean-produced black rice extracts in this toner work to restore elasticity to your skin while brightening it at the same time. This is one of my favorite toners because it’s silky smooth texture feels nice against your skin and helps the product to sink into your skin.

Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum

In order for your skin to retain moisture all day long I highly recommend investing in a serum. One serum I’ve been consistently using and loving is the Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum. This juicy, silky, water gel is perfect for adding moisture to your skin because it’s formulated with not 1 but 5 molecular weights of hyaluronic acid and 3 types of hydrating plum. It’s also a humectant, which means it won’t clog pores or cause break-outs so it’s completely safe for all skin types.

Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Cream

Now that your face is clean and hydrated, the most effective way to lock in that moisture is to use a hydrating moisturizer. My go-to for the last few months is the Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Cream. This whipped gel cream is ideal for people with oily skin because it’s not heavy, not greasy, and absorbs quickly. Formulated with natural ingredients like 3 antioxidant-rich plums, a blend of 5 different weights of hyaluronic acid, polyglutamic acid, and ice willowherb, this moisturizer not only gives you long-lasting hydration, it helps to balance excess oil throughout the day. Results!

Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Pure Mineral Relief Daily Sunscreen SPF 50+/PA++++

The last step in my winter routine will always be sunscreen and the Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Mineral Sunscreen is one of my favorites. Not only is it incredibly lightweight and nourishing, it leaves your face with a natural, satin finish. There’s no white cast so it’s perfect to wear if you’re taking pictures with a flash and because it’s enhanced with Heartleaf Extract and niacinamide, it will never leave your skin feeling sticky or oily. It also wears really well under makeup so you don’t have to worry about it negatively affecting your foundation or other makeup products. And what makes this sunscreen even better is that you can find it in mineral or chemical form.
