Breakfast is my favorite meal by far. And while there were several breakfast options we could have chosen from in Waco, Texas, I’m really glad we stopped by Magnolia Table.
Magnolia Table is a restaurant in Waco, Texas, that was created, designed, and is owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines. Found at 2132 S Valley Mills Dr, Waco, TX 76706, this breakfast and brunch restaurant specializes in fresh ingredients and style. Whether you’re picking up an order to-go or sharing a meal with family and friends, the staff of Magnolia Table will make you feel welcome and appreciated.
Another fun fact is that the Magnolia Table used to be the Elite Cafe. The first Elite Cafe opened originally in downtown Waco in 1919 and was acquired by the Colias Family in 1920. The Colias brothers opened the Elite Cafe on “the Circle” in 1941 and the building is one of the remaining examples of mid-20th century roadside architecture.

Here are a few quick tips for visiting Magnolia Table.
- Make a reservation ahead of time.
Magnolia Table fills up fast because it’s a tourist attraction. The best thing you can do is make a reservation on their website. The earlier the better. There’ll be more parking spaces to choose from and you’ll be guaranteed a good table.
- Browse the menu on your phone before you go.
This not only saves you time but helps the kitchen to get your order started. Besides, already knowing what you want allows you the time to enjoy the scenery. Joanna pulled no stops when she was designing this place – every corner is aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
- Don’t forget to browse the gift shop.
Unlike most restaurants this one has a gift shop where you can purchase Joanna’s cookbooks, mugs, t-shirts, caps, and other merchandise. You can also pick up your order to-go from there if you call ahead.
