The Sephora Spring Savings Event is upon us again and I for one am super psyched. The Spring Savings Event is a sale that Sephora holds every Spring for their Rouge, VIB, and Insider Members. You can use code OMGSPRING to access the sale. While the sale officially runs from 04/09 to 04/19, different member tiers have access to the sale at different times:
- Rouge members get 20% off their purchases from 04/09 – 04/19, but they get first access to the sale from 04/09 – 04/12
- VIB members get 15% off their purchases from 04/13 – 04/19
- Insider members get 10% off their purchases from 04/15 – 04/19
So, with the sale going live today I wanted to give you some of my favorite product recommendations.
Sephora has a lot of products, so it can be kind of overwhelming to walk in their store or browse their web site. But I’ve tried and loved each and every one of these products and some of them I’ve repurchased multiple times, so I feel confident in sharing them with you.
If you’re looking for some hair, makeup, and skincare products that are worth your time and your money just keep on scrolling.
P.S. I’ve listed the price of the mini versions of certain products because I’ve tried both the full size and the mini size of the product and found that both were worth using and purchasing.
HAIR
- Living Proof Curl Shampoo – $32
- Living Proof Curl Conditioner – $32
- This shampoo/conditioner combo is a dream team for my keeping my unruly curls under control. They leave my hair feeling soft and clean but never stripped or dry and they both smell really good.
- Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo – $42
- If you suffer from dry scalp and you’ve tried everything but still have found no relief, look no further. This is the shampoo for you. It has tiny granules in it that help to scrub your scalp and leave it feeling cool and clean. But don’t worry, the granules dissolve once they make contact with water. Pretty cool, right?
MAKEUP
- Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation – $40
- I have oily/combo skin so finding a good foundation that keeps my oils at bay but won’t transfer or sweat off my face is a must. Thankfully, I gave the Dior Backstage Face & Body foundation a try and I’ve never looked back. This foundation has the extraordinary ability to control your oils but not leave your face looking cakey or too matte. It leaves a skin-like finish that doesn’t transfer – even in the sweltering, Louisiana heat.
- Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder – $32 /// Mini Size – $18
- Once you have the perfect foundation (and if you have oily skin like me) a good face powder is a necessity to keep everything locked in place. The Fenty loose powder is amazing because it blends into the skin beautifully, leaving you with a smooth, airbrushed finish. Plus, it keeps your face looking flawless all day, even after a long work day.
- Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer – $30
- Everybody needs a good bronzer in their collection and the Fenty Sun Stalk’r Bronzer is definitely one to look into. It comes in 9 shades that range from light to deep dark and it’s buttery smooth. It’s a powder bronzer that leaves you with natural-looking, defined cheeks.
- Becca Mineral Blush – $32
- Becca Cosmetics is closing up shop in September so now’s the time to give their mineral blushes a try. These powder blushes are very pigmented so a little bit goes a long way and once applied they last all day.
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer Pencil – $23
- If you’ve ever put your makeup on in a hurry and totally wrecked your brows then the ABH Brow Definer pencil is for you. It’s not like other brow pencils because it has a triangular tip that helps you reach those hard-to-reach places. I love using this pencil when I travel because I can create natural-looking brows in a matter of seconds.
- KVD Beauty Tattoo Eyeliner – $21
- I know I’m going to sound like a total Millennial here, but I still love a good winged liner and one of the best liquid liners I’ve found is the KVB Tattoo Eyeliner in the color Mad Max Brown. The felt tip helps you draw a perfect line every time and it takes a really long time to dry out. I mean, I bought one in October of last year and it still has ink in it.
- Pat McGrath Labs Mattetrance Lipstick – $38
- One of my favorite bullet lipsticks are the Pat McGrath Mattetrance lipsticks because they’re smooth and they last nearly all day. This lipstick never ceases to amaze me because it takes a lot to get it to come off and when it does eventually fade it leaves a softer shade of the color you first applied. It comes in 49 colors, ranging from nudes to reds to burgundies.
- Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer – $19
- My makeup look just isn’t done until I’ve put on some lip gloss. But I can’t stand a goopy, sticky gloss that your hair gets caught in when the wind blows. Thankfully, Fenty’s Gloss Bomb lip gloss is one of the best on the market because it leaves your lips looking glossy wet without feeling sticky. It comes in 6 shades that range from clear to brown so there’s something for everyone.
- Pat McGrath Labs Mothership V Eyeshadow Palette – Bronze Seduction – $125
- If you’ve ever wanted to try out Pat McGrath shadows, the Sephora Spring Savings Event is the best time to test out a Pat McGrath Mothership palette or one of her quads because you can get a deal on them. Yes, her eyeshadow palettes are a splurge but I’ve never found another shimmer eyeshadow formula that matches Pat McGrath’s formula. Out of her 8 palettes the Mothership V Bronze Seduction palette is my personal favorite because it offers unique shimmers that can take an everyday look to the next level.
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette – $45
- The Soft Glam palette is an eyeshadow palette every makeup lover should have in their collection because it offers every shade you need to achieve a stunning neutral eye look. The shimmers are eye-catching and the mattes blend like a dream. The shades work together beautifully and they’re all very pigmented. A total must-have for any eyeshadow junkie.
- YSL The Shock Volumizing Mascara – $29
- I actually heard about this mascara from Youtuber Rachel from Rachhloves in the video linked here. She tried it on camera and after I saw how well it fanned out and lifted her lashes I was sold. The Shock mascara is a volumizing mascara that curls and separates your lashes with clumping them. And don’t worry about it fading throughout the day, because it won’t. Once this stuff is on your lashes your lashes will stay put.
SKINCARE
- Fresh Soy Makeup Removing Face Wash – $38 /// Mini – $15
- This cleanser. Where do I start with this cleanser? Well, first off, it has cucumber and amino-rich soy proteins as some of its main ingredients so it smells like a refreshing spa. It also breaks down waterproof mascara and eyeliner without stinging or irritating your eyes and it’ll never leave your skin feeling dry. Once you wipe it off you’re left with a hydrated, clean face. For more of my thoughts on this cleanser check out my other post – https://www.nelliecoody.com/5-face-cleansers-every-oily-combo-girl-needs-in-her-skincare-collection/
- Fresh Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Toner – $45 /// Mini – $25
- Not only is this toner aesthetically pleasing to look at on your bathroom counter, it actually leaves your skin feeling nourished and hydrated. It’s made with Rose Water (which helps soothe), Rose Fruit Extract, and Angelica Leaf Extract (which helps to retain moisture). But the best part is that it’s alcohol-free, meaning that it won’t leave your skin feeling stripped but soft and silky.
- Tatcha The Deep Cleanse Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser – $38 /// Mini – $16
- Has your pores ever felt clogged or your skin ever felt congested? Mine definitely have and when it gets in this condition I pull out the Tatcha Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser. Like the name states, it’s a gentle cleanser with natural fruit exfoliate that helps to lift impurities and unclog pores without scratching or irritating your skin.
- Tatcha Rice Polish Foaming Enzyme Powder – $65
- This is one of the only skincare products I’ve used where I saw a difference in my skin after the first time I used it. My skin looked refreshed, healthy, and glowing – after one use. It’s really unique because it’s an exfoliant made of Japanese rice bran that transforms into a creamy foam when you add water to it. A little goes a long way so one container should last you several months.
- Tatcha The Water Cream Oil-free Pore Minimizing Moisturizer – $68
- Every great skincare routine needs a great moisturizer and the Tatcha Water Cream is one of the best moisturizers because it leaves your skin feeling hydrating, smooth, soft, and it’s just plain fun to use. It has a unique formula that feels like bursts of cool water droplets onto your face as you rub in it. I never get tired or using it.
- Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask – $22
- Dry, chapped lips never look good on anyone, so the best thing you can do is invest in a good lip balm or lip mask. The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is made with hyaluronic acid and Vitamin C to helps to soothe and keep your lips feeling moisturized all night (or day) long.
- Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protector Lotion SPF+ Sunscreen – $29 /// Mini – $25
- Sunscreen should be an essential product for everybody whether you wear makeup or not because the sun can be very harmful to the skin on your body and the skin on your face. The Shiseido Ultimate Sun Lotion Sunscreen is one of my absolute favorite sunscreens because it has a very smooth formula that’s lightweight and easy to blend. It never leaves a white cast and works well under foundation and concealer.
Hopefully, this post has been helpful to you and will give you an idea of where to start if you shop at the Sephora Spring Savings Event. What’s some products you’ve tried from Sephora and you just can’t live without? Do you have any recommendations for me? Let me know in the comments. I’m always up for a good Sephora recommendation.
