Unboxing the Magic

First things first: the packaging. Betty Crocker really went all out with this collaboration. I love the purple wisteria hanging from the top of each box and the signature Bridgerton blue. The kits came with almost everything I needed to create a delightful dessert. I only had to add eggs, water, and butter.

The Baking Experience

I decided to try all three of the available options, since who doesn’t love petite sponge cake, creme puff pastry, and petite strawberry scones? The instructions were easy to follow, and I found myself in the kitchen with a smile on my face, imagining myself as the toast of the ton, baking my way into Lord Anthony Bridgerton’s heart (okay, maybe that’s a stretch, but a girl can dream).

The process itself was straightforward and fun—mix, bake, and cool. And since each dessert was small, the recipes didn’t take a long time to work with. It felt a little bit like I was in a scene straight out of the show, albeit without the grand ballgowns and lavish estates. (Sigh.)

The Taste Test

Okay, the moment of truth. How did it all taste? Amazing. The sponge cake was delicate and light, almost like biting into a cloud, with a slight sweetness that wasn’t overpowering. The creme puff was a perfect balance of flaky and fluffy texture with a touch of sweetness. As for the strawberry scones, they were sweet and savory, making them the perfect snack for afternoon tea. It truly felt like desserts worthy of a royal affair.

While it may not have been quite as extravagant as a Bridgerton ballroom feast, each dessert was definitely a crowd-pleaser at my little at-home tea party. It was easy to make, fun to decorate, and most importantly, delicious to eat.

Final Thoughts: A Royal Experience

Overall, the Bridgerton x Betty Crocker Baking Kits are a fun, easy way to bring a little bit of Regency-era magic into your home. Whether you’re a Bridgerton die-hard fan or simply someone who loves a good dessert, these kits offer both a royal baking experience and a delightful treat.

Until next time, happy baking, darlings!
