Twilight x Colourpop Collection Review

“About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him-and I didn’t know how potent that part might be-that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.” – Bella Swan, Twilight

Hello friends and welcome to today’s Twilight-inspired post. Doesn’t that take you right back to 2008?

If you’re like me then you probably were a fan of a little book series and movie franchise called Twilight in your younger days. I’ll never forget the first time I was introduced to Twilight. A girl in my Algebra class was reading the first book and I asked her what was so interesting about a book with a red apple on the front. Her eyes practically lit up and she told me I just had to read it – it was a fantasy story about a vampire who falls in love with a human. Slightly intrigued, I picked up the first book at my local Books-A-Million, read it over the weekend, and got completely sucked into the world that is Twilight (I’m Team Jacob, just in case you were wondering). So when I saw Colourpop’s newest collaboration with Twilight – I knew I had to test out for you guys.

Vampy Lips Lux Lip Oil Set – $29.00 ($11.00 each)

Colourpop makes some of the best affordable lip oils on the market. Not only are they comfortable to wear – they aren’t sticky and they won’t dry out your lips. Infused with soothing ingredients such as antioxidant-rich Chamomile and Calendula Oils, these lip oils will leave your lips feeling soft and nourished. They come in three shades (from left to right in the picture above): Bells, Team Jacob, and Team Edward.

Meadow Supershock Highlighter – $10.00

While this collection technically comes with two new Supershock Highlighters – Meadow and Vampire Skin – I got the Meadow shade because the meadow scenes in the books and movies were some of my favorites.  Meadow is an airy, weightless highlighter with an iridescent white-and-purple shift. It’s buttery soft texture helps it to blend effortlessly into the skin. Because it’s essentially a duo-chrome lavender, it gives your cheeks a stunning sheen that catches the light.

Twilight Eyeshadow Palette – $24.00

The Twilight Eyeshadow Palette is a 15-pan, cool-tone palette with a variety of shades and shadow textures. Based on the color scheme of the first film, the shadows in this palette are a mixture of forest greens, moody blues, and glittering neutrals. From mattes to metallics to duochrome, this palette has everything you need to complete a full, cool-tone look.
